Silly Lilly
The Silly Lilly website includes several elements, i.e. a weekly agenda providing information on lesbian, lesbian-friendly and feminist events in Brussels and reviews of lesbian and lesbian-friendly bars, restaurants, parties in Brussels, and of books or films on feminism or lesbian matters. I also run a newsletter, facebook page and instgram account.

What’s your origin story and your motivation?
I began my project around 2012 because I was frustrated with the lack of information available in a structured way for lesbians. If I would search for information online, there was always a lot of information for gay men, but nothing for lesbians. Also, even if I would search online for lesbian events in Brussels, there would be no results, because, at the time, at least, no event advertised itself as a lesbian event. It was all unstructured, finding information took ages, and it was upsetting to see the taboos attached to the use of the word "lesbian". So I decided to do something about this.

Le Fontainas, Jane's, Old Boy restaurant, Cinematek, Wiels.
