Artemys
Artemys was a lesbian, feminist bookstore opened in 1985 by Marian Lens, which for almost two decades functioned as a major meeting point and reference for activists worldwide.
At the time of opening it was one of the first bookstores in the world with an explicit lesbian identity and the third feminist bookstore in the history of Belgium. Through Artemys there were also organised parties, lectures and exhibitions.
