Mothers and Daughters, a lesbian* & trans* bar*
Mothers & Daughters is an ephemeral lesbian* & trans* bar*, open in the months May and June of each Spring. Due to Covid 19 regulations, the project morphed in 2020 to other activities, such as beer brewing, t-shirt making and a queer boat cruise. All activities focus on prioritizing BIPOC and trans people, in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

When did you start?
In 2017. The lack of a great lesbian and / or trans bar in Brussels made us decide to open one.
Even if at this point, we’re still ephemeral, we keep dreaming of having a full one bar and we’re also very happy to see that more queer bars and spaces have been opening over the past years.
