The Gate
The Gate was a beloved lesbian bar that existed between the years of 1999-2003 in Rue du Fossé aux Loups 12. When it closed its doors in 2003 it was the last standing «out» lesbian bar in Brussels, and it would take 15 years before another one opened. It was run by Carine Mesmaeker who also organised a series of parties called Womania.
